This spearhead (above) of the Clovis big-game hunting culture is c.11,000 years old and
this spearhead of the High Plains Folsom culture (below) is c.9000 years old. Experiments
have shown that these were among the most effective weapons made by Paleolithic man
anywhere in the world.
